Amateur olive oil producer & sommelier
Greece
An amateur olive oil producer and now an amateur sommelier!
Our grove, where the fruits grow among lemon and orange trees, is in the Region of Mylopotamos, Perama, in Rethimno, Crete. Our oil is a family affair! From father to son and now to daughters, my sister and I cultivate our land of 30 acres, 800 olive trees, mainly of Koroneiki and Tsounati varieties. Crete’s ideal climate combined with a prosperous soil and a year round work with care, allow for the production of extra virgin olive oil, with low acidity, fruity and intense, bitter and pungent taste.
